Ecuador is on Eastern Standard Time and the Galapagos Islands are 1 hour behind Eastern Standard Time. Peru is one hour behind EST.

Elevation

Highest elevation included on tour is approx 11,000 feet above sea level, in Cusco. Quito is 9,350 feet above sea level. Seven days of this tour are spent at 7,500 feet above sea level. If you have particular health concerns, we recommend you check with your doctor before departure for recommendations on how to alleviate the possible effects of altitude sickness.
